Sedimentology and palynofacies of the Upper Turonian and Coniacian of the Vocontian Trough (Upper Cretaceous, SE France) are analysed in representative field sections traversing the proximal part of the carbonate platform to the distal basin. The study sections are located in the Massif de la Cèze, Massif d'Uchaux, Bassin de Valréas, les Baronnies and near Vergons. Detailed sedimentological studies as well as palynofacies analyses shall be used to characterise the sedimentary environments and to identify transgressiv-regressiv developments during this time interval. The combined study of sedimentary and organic facies shall lead to a detailed reconstruction of the sedimentary system and shall contribute to sequence stratigraphy in the Upper Cretaceous of the Vocontian Trough.
