- July 1, 1965: Birth in Mainz, Germany. Mainz is the capital of the country
of Rhineland-Paladine, and one of the oldest cities in Germany, built as the military base Mogutiacum by the Romans (38 B.C.).
It is also the birth place of Johannes Gensfleisch, better known as Gutenberg,
the modern inventor of printing, recently named the "Man of the Millenium".
